Vale Niels Peder Kristensen
The SEL Council was deeply moved to learn about the passing of the society's honorary member and former president Niels Peder Kristensen on 6 December 2014. Niels Kristensen joined the society in 1977 and was elected president in 1998, a position he held until 2007. After stepping down as president, he was elected Honorary Member of the Society, also in 2007. Throughout a career spanning six decades, Niels Kristensen had an immense and highly positive presence in European and global Lepidopterology and Entomology. He will be deeply missed.
